I am moving to Arizona tomorrow. It’s hot there I’ve heard.
The boxes are packed and the plane tickets purchased. U-Hauls are lined up and the apartment just needs to be signed for. Our life is officially in transition.
But it’s good to be in transition with other people. Not only do I have my wife to move with, but a whole nexus of loving others who are there to support, to lend a helping hand, to pray, to lift boxes, to offer jobs, to hang out with to be with. This makes moves much more mellow. THanks.
I’ve appreciated connecting with people this last week. From talking about THemba with others to worship at SHOUT to beers and pizza at BJ’s to theological discussions in a sandpit. My spirit is fortified with these types of interactions.
Here’s to new places, new people new paradigms and new possibilities.
P.S. Happy Rosh Hoshanah and Matsa Tov to all my Jewish brothers and sisters as they celebrate the High HOlidays.
